Part-time Executive Director, 25 hours/week for Arizona South Asians For Safe Families (ASAFSF), a community based culturally-specific, support services organization for South Asian victims of domestic violence, in Phoenix, Arizona. Benefits apply. Arizona South Asians For Safe Families (ASAFSF) is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Part-time Executive Director. In time this position may grow into a Full-time position. Located in Phoenix metro area, our mission is to provide culturally specific appropriate support services to South Asian victims of domestic violence through the provisions of advocacy, outreach and education and raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence in the South Asian community.
The Executive Director (ED) will oversee administration, core programs and strategic plan; outreach to community and partner agencies as required by project. ED will support staff, and execute and expand organization’s goals.
The Executive Director will be responsible for financial, administrative and employee responsibilities while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and carry out all policies and procedures established by ASAFSF’s Board of Directors. Executive Director will cultivate a strong relationship with, and interface with the Board of Directors, helping to set policies consistent with ASAFSF’s mission. The Executive Director candidate must have superior written, verbal communication and reporting skills (including budget and expense accounting), be proficient in one or more South Asian languages, have a history of engagement in social justice issues, be passionately aligned with the mission of ASAFSF to make a profound difference in our community.
